Sajek blockade eased for farm produce, students

RANGAMATI, Nov 03: The ongoing indefinite road blockade in Sajek will be partially relaxed from Wednesday, November 4, allowing vehicles carrying agricultural produce and those transporting teachers and students to educational institutions to pass through the affected roads.

The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the Sajek Gan Odhikar Rakkha Committee and the Sajek Karbari Association on Tuesday afternoon. The organisations confirmed the decision in a statement sent to the media.

Under the revised arrangement, vehicles transporting locally produced agricultural goods and those carrying teachers and students to schools, colleges and universities will be exempted from the blockade. Vehicles that were previously granted exemptions will also remain exempt.
