Gaibandha cop names wrong person in case docs

GAIBANDHA, Nov 03: A sub-inspector of Gaibandha Sadar Police Station has come under judicial scrutiny over allegations of submitting misleading and contradictory information to a court, raising concerns that an innocent person could have been implicated in a criminal case.

The controversy centres on Sub-Inspector (SI) Md Dulal Hossain, who allegedly submitted a photograph and identity details of a person different from the accused named in the case documents.

The irregularity came to light during proceedings in Session Case No. 486/2021 before the Sixth Court of Gaibandha, presided over by a Joint District and Sessions Judge.
