The second white tiger cub was born in the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Safari Park in Gazipur on August 8. The birth of the first white tiger cub in the Chittagong Zoo on July 19 of this year.

The mother tiger gave birth to three cubs on August 8. Among them, one was a white, or albino, tiger cub. This is the first time any albino tiger cub was born inside a safari park.

Albinism is passed genetically from parent to offspring. Each cell contains numerous pairs of genes– one from each parent. These transmit traits through generations, with an albino offspring resulting from a specific combination of genes.
