Four people were killed and another was injured when a sand-laden truck lost control and overturned at a village market in Rajshahi's Puthia upazila on Thursday morning.
The accident happened at about 7:50AM at local Jhalmalia Bazar where banana trading was underway.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
According to Fire Service, getting information, two rescue teams from Puthia and nearby Natore Fire Stations rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
Quoting witnesses, Puthia Fire Service said the truck veered off the road and hit a group of people who were engaged in banana trading around 7:40AM, leaving four people dead on the spot and another injured.
A hand of the injured severed from his body and he was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
