Police recover 3 bodies in separate incidents in Subarnachar

Police recovered three bodies, including a BRAC employee, a housewife, and a child, in separate incidents in Noakhali's Subarnachar upazila on Tuesday (August 18).

The bodies were recovered from different parts of the upazila at various times during the afternoon.

Police officials said a program assistant named Daudul Islam from BRAC Kanchan Bazar branch lived in a room adjacent to his office. 

On Monday night, he informed his manager that he was feeling unwell and took a key to sleep in the office guest room. When an office peon went to the guest room around 9:00 PM, he found Daudul hanging. 

Cause of suicide remains unknown.

Daudul was the son of Abul Kalam from Elahiganj Bazar area under Feni Sadar upazila.

In another incident, Tamanna Akter, 23, wife of Ripon from Jahajmara village under Char Jabbar union, hanged herself at her residence.

Family members rescued her and brought her to Noakhali 250-bed General Hospital, where doctors referred her to Dhaka for advanced treatment. She died on the way near the Cumilla Cantonment area, and police recovered her body after it was brought home.

Meanwhile, a three-year-old boy named Hamim, son of Jasim Uddin from Nayapara village under Char Amanullah union, drowned in a pond near his house.

Char Jabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Hasan said the bodies of Daudul Islam and Tamanna Akter were sent to the Noakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsies after preliminary inquests. Separate unnatural death cases were filed, and the child's body was handed over to the family following legal procedures.
