Woman found dead in capital's Khilgaon

A woman was found dead at her residence in Kusumbag Police Park area in the capital’s Khilgaon early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Sonia Akter, 29, daughter of Delwar Hossain from Heligunia area in Barguna Sadar. She was an employee of a software company.

According to sources, Sonia went into her room and locked the door after a dispute over family matters on Monday night.

After noticing her through a window gap, family members broke open the door, rescued her and rushed her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctors declared her dead.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost in charge Inspector Faruk confirmed the incident and said that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue.
