Dear Sir,
A nation's culture reflects its identity and progress. The more people respect their heritage, the more the country advances. Nelson Mandela said, "The soul of a civilized nation lies in its culture." However, Bangladesh is gradually becoming indifferent to its own culture. Instead of practicing it, people often disrespect it.
In contrast, Bangladesh is witnessing attacks on minorities, disrespect for religious sentiments, harassment of Baul and folk artists, and vandalism of temples and shrines. Traditional rural practices are declining, and people are losing their non-communal spirit. Today, Bengalis are forgetting their identity.
Therefore, to protect our values and traditions, we must respect and preserve our culture. The thousand-year-old Bengali heritage should not be destroyed by neglect. Both citizens and the government must work together to safeguard our cultural legacy.
