118 promoted to Addl Secy

A total of 118 joint secretaries in the civil administration have been promoted to the rank of additional secretary.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Tuesday, granting the promotions based on recommendations of the Superior Selection Board (SSB), headed by the Cabinet Secretary.

According to ministry sources, joint secretaries from the 20th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) batch were primarily considered for the promotion. 

At the same time, officers from earlier batches who had previously been deprived of promotion were also included in the list.
