PM offers prayer at parents’ graves after swearing-in

Newly sworn-in Prime Minister (PM) Tarique Rahman on Tuesday visited the graves of his parents, paying tribute shortly after taking the oath of office.

Following his swearing-in as prime minister, Tarique Rahman went to Zia Udyan, where he offered prayers at the graves of his father, former president Ziaur Rahman, and his mother, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

He was accompanied by his wife, Zubaida Rahman, their daughter Zaima Rahman, and other family members during the visit.

The information was confirmed in a post published on the verified Facebook page of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
