Equate Liberation War with other movements inappropriate: Minister Hafiz

Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Bir Bikram, on Sunday stated that the Bangladesh Liberation War is the fundamental foundation of Bangladesh's independence and statehood. He emphasized that it would be inappropriate to equate the Liberation War with other movements and struggles. 

The minister made the remarks while presiding over an exchange meeting with members of the National Freedom Fighters Council (JAMUKA) at the conference room of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on Sunday.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry, several key decisions were adopted at the meeting to verify the list of genuine freedom fighters and to preserve the authentic history of the Liberation War.
