After a long wait, multiple changes to the result release date, and controversy over the early release of results, the results of the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination have finally been released.

The results were announced at a press conference organized at the International Mother Language Institute on Sunday (July 12) at 12 noon.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj, State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Aminul Haque, Advisor to the Prime Minister Mahdi Amin, and Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division Abdul Khalek were present at the event.

The Department of Primary Education has said that by typing DPE in the message option of the mobile from any mobile operator, followed by a space and the roll number and sending it to 16222, the result can be known in the return SMS. Apart from this, the detailed results and marksheet can be viewed by selecting the 'Primary Scholarship Exam' option on the IPEMIS website of the Department of Primary Education https://ipemis.dpe.gov.bd/scholarship-results and providing roll number, district and upazila information.

More than 640,000 students have participated in this year's primary scholarship exam. Of these, about 550,000 are from government primary schools and about 90,000 are from private primary schools and kindergartens.

According to the policy, a total of 82,500 students are receiving scholarships. Of these, 33,000 students are receiving talent pool or merit scholarships and 49,500 students are receiving scholarships in general grades.

Separate quotas have been set for the distribution of scholarships for government and private educational institutions. 80 percent of the total scholarships are reserved for government primary school students and 20 percent for private primary school and kindergarten students. Accordingly, 66,000 scholarships have been allocated for government school students and 16,500 for private educational institutions.

According to the current policy, students selected in the talent pool will receive a scholarship of 300 taka per month and students selected in the general grade will receive a scholarship of 225 taka per month. In addition, students selected in both categories will be given an additional financial assistance of 225 taka per year. They will enjoy this benefit for two years during their studies in grades 6 and 7.
