
NOAKHALI, Feb 27: Leaders of the Bankers' Forum Companyganj-Kabirhat paid a courtesy call on newly elected Noakhali-5 MP Mohammad Fakhrul Islam and discussed measures to strengthen the banking sector and promote local economic development.
During the meeting held on Wednesday, the forum leaders greeted the lawmaker with flowers and exchanged views on expanding banking services, improving customer service standards, and enhancing financial support for small and medium entrepreneurs.
The forum leaders said the banking sector could play a vital role in the socio-economic development of Noakhali-5 through coordinated planning and effective collaboration. They expressed hope that under the MP's guidance, sustainable development in the constituency would accelerate and a modern, service-oriented banking system would be established.
Welcoming the initiative, Fakhrul Islam said stronger coordination between the public and private sectors would help accelerate development activities. He also emphasised the active role of banks in fostering local industries and creating new entrepreneurs.
