After prolonged legal complications and uncertainty, last year's postponed Primary Scholarship Examination (PSE) is finally set to be held in April.

The examination is scheduled to take place over four days-- from April 15 to April 18-- with authorities making extensive preparations to ensure its smooth conduct.

For the first time, students from private and kindergarten institutions will participate in the examination alongside those from government primary schools under a unified question paper.

However, separate quotas and distinct merit lists will be maintained for the publication of results and scholarship distribution.

Sources at the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) confirmed that a revised draft structure for the examination has already been prepared. Authorities plan to complete the scholarship examination before the commencement of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.
