THAKURGAON, Mar 7: Senior Instructor Md Al-Amin has assumed the role of new principal (in-charge) at the Thakurgaon Technical Training Centre (TTC).
He took over the charge on Saturday. Md Al-Amin was previously serving as a Senior Instructor (Garments Trade) at the same institution under the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment. The directive for his new responsibility was issued by the department on 4 March of this month.
When contacted, the newly appointed Principal, Al-Amin, stated that technical training is a key component for developing labour skills in both personal and professional spheres, alongside creating employment opportunities in the job market. It plays a vital role in human resource development and in helping to reduce the country's unemployment problem.
He expressed his keen interest in making every effort to ensure that the Thakurgaon Technical Training Centre (TTTC) offers various trade-oriented courses that can have maximum impact on the local and international job market.
Noting that only nine trades have been operating at the centre for a long time, he added that he intends to introduce Japanese and Korean language courses, food, ICT, caregiver, civil construction, ICT plumbing, welding trades, CC project, and dormitory facilities very soon.
