Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz added another milestone to his career on Wednesday by becoming the fourth Bangladeshi cricketer to take 350 wickets across all formats of international cricket.
The achievement came during the opening ODI of the home series against Pakistan national cricket team at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh secured a comfortable eight-wicket victory in the match.
Leading the side as ODI captain, Miraz claimed three wickets in the game, which helped him surpass the 350-wicket mark and move his tally to 352 international wickets.
With the feat, the right-arm off-spinner joined a select group of Bangladeshi bowlers that includes former skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman.
Among them, Shakib remains the country’s highest wicket-taker in international cricket with 712 wickets. Mashrafe follows with 390 scalps, while Mustafizur has taken 367 wickets across formats.
Miraz, with his latest tally of 352 wickets, now ranks fourth on Bangladesh’s all-time international wicket-takers list.
