Youth’s body found hanging in Moulvibazar

The body of a 21-year-old youth was recovered from a poultry farm in Moulvibazar’s Kulaura upazila on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Lutfur Rahman, son of Hannan Mia, a resident of Hajipur village under Hajipur union. He was a poultry farm worker.

According to police, his co-workers became suspicious around 9:00 PM after finding the door of his room locked from inside. Upon breaking it open, they discovered him hanging from the ceiling.

Later, he was rushed to Kulaura Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Kulaura Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Moniruzzaman Molla confirmed the death and said the incident is being treated as a suspected suicide.

The body has been sent to Moulvibazar General Hospital for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, added the OC.
