Tk 97.48cr medicines reach Rajshahi Medical from USA

A consignment of medicines worth Tk 97.48 crore has reached Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) from the United States.

Medicines supplied by US-based Direct Relief, the medicines arrived in three phases, with more supplies reaching on Wednesday.

Professor Azizul Haque Azad, head of the Medicine Department, coordinated the import and said the medicines will be distributed free among underprivileged admitted patients.

The shipment includes Dupilumab and Sarilumab injections used for asthma, COPD and rheumatoid arthritis, along with other medicines including Factor VIII and Docetaxel.

Prof Azad said RMCH Director Brig Gen P.K.M. Masud Ul Islam and DG of Drug Administration Major Gen Shamim Haider provided support for the import.
