PM to launch Farmer Card distribution in Tangail on April 14

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the distribution of Farmer Cards in Tangail on April 14, with the ceremony set to take place at Shaheed Maruf Stadium.

Fisheries and Livestock State Minister Sultan Salahuddin Tuku described the event as a matter of pride and joy for the people of Tangail. 

“Farmer Card is a ground-breaking initiative aimed at the development of farmers,” he said after inspecting the venue on Friday.


During the visit, Tuku reviewed preparations and issued instructions to officials to ensure the programme’s smooth execution. Agriculture Secretary Rafiqul E. Mohammad and other concerned officials were also present.

Earlier, a preparatory meeting was held at Deputy Commissioner’s office conference room, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque. 

State Minister Tuku emphasized that all officials must carry out their responsibilities with the utmost diligence.

At the inauguration, Prime Minister Rahman will personally hand over Farmer Cards to 15 selected farmers, marking the official launch of the nationwide programme.
