3 held with drugs in Sunamganj

Police arrested three alleged drug peddlers along with Yaba pills and heroin in a special drive in Sunamganj’s Dharmapasha upazila on Saturday morning.

The arrested were identified as Delwar, 27, Himel Talukder, 26 and Milton, 48, all residents of Mirzapur village.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police officials led by sub-inspector (SI) Md Rafiqul Islam conducted a drive around 7:00 AM in Mirzapur village under Selbarash union, recovered 268 pieces of Yaba pills and 18 grams of heroin and arrested the trio.

Confirming the detention, Dharmapasha Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Shahid Ullah said that a case has been filed against the arrested individuals under the Narcotics Control Act and they have been sent to jail after being produced before the court.
