Man ‘kills elder brother’ in Kushtia

KUSHTIA, Apr 22: A man allegedly stabbed his elder brother to death over a family feud at Banuyapara in Baradi Village under Kaya Union in Kumarkhali Upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Rashed Ali, 35, son of Robiul Sheikh of the area.

On Tuesday at 3 am, Johurul reportedly stabbed Rashed, leaving him critically injured.

Resident Medical Officer of the hospital Hossain Imam said that the victim's body bears multiple wounds of a sharp weapon.

Officer-in-Charge of Kumarkhali Police Station Jamal Uddin said that the body was sent to the morgue for an autopsy. "Johurul and his family have been in hiding since the incident. We are trying to arrest those involved," he also said.
