Fire breaks out at foam factory in Ctg

A fire broke out at a foam factory in the Akbar Shah Police Station area of Chattogram city on Thursday afternoon.

The fire originated around 4:20 PM, triggering panic among residents in the surrounding areas.

On information, six units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the scene and brought the blaze under control after about one and a half hours of effort.

Fire Service Chattogram Divisional Deputy Director Jasim Uddin confirmed the matter.

He said the fire was fully brought under control around 6:00 PM.

The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage could not be immediately known, he added.
