Bomb-like object found in Meherpur

MEHERPUR, May 3: Police have recovered a bomb-like object and a note from the side of the road in Chargoal Gram Village of Gangni Upazila on Sunday morning.

Locals said that in the morning, they saw a bomb-like object abandoned in a polythene bag beside the road and informed the police. 

Upon receiving the information, the police recovered the object and a note. The police did not immediately say what was written on the note.

Gangni Police Station OC (Investigation) Al Mamun said that the matter is being investigated, and necessary action will be taken.
