Dear Sir,
Dhaka University, though a leading center of learning, is increasingly facing security concerns due to its location within a busy urban environment. Uncontrolled vehicle movement, reckless driving and disregard for traffic rules have made daily commuting risky for students. The presence of outsiders, loiterers and weak security measures further worsen the situation, with female students often facing harassment.
To address these issues, vehicle entry should be restricted-especially during class hours-and the campus should be made more pedestrian-friendly. Installing CCTV cameras, speed breakers and increasing security personnel can improve safety. A quick complaint and response system is also essential.
A safe campus is crucial for a healthy learning environment. It is time to take effective steps to ensure a secure and student-friendly campus.
