Five people, including a father and his two daughters, were killed in a tragic road accident on the Sunamganj-Sylhet highway in the district's Chhatak upazila on Monday.

The incident occurred in front of Jalalpur Government Primary School in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Yusuf Ali from Tior Jalal village in Tahirpur upazila, his two daughters, Nilufa Akhtar, 30 and Keya Moni, 17, and a in-law, Md. Shahab Uddin. However, the identity of the dead CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver is yet to be known.
