The Ministry of Education has instructed all educational institutions across the country to observe July Uprising Day on August 5 with special programmes.
In a directive issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Division on Monday, institutions were asked to organise essay, recitation and painting competitions, along with discussion sessions highlighting the significance of the day.
The directive, sent to the chairman of the University Grants Commission and the director general of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, said the programmes should be arranged in line with instructions from the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
The ministry requested all educational institutions to take the necessary steps to implement the directive.
