
Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Walid El-Kherezi arrived in Dhaka on Monday night for a brief official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
He was received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir.
During his visit on Tuesday, El-Kherezi is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. He will also hold a joint meeting with Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam and Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir.
Before departing Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon, the Saudi deputy foreign minister is expected to meet Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit will focus on issues of mutual interest and ways to further strengthen Bangladesh-Saudi Arabia relations.
