Two stores fined, banned polythene seized in N’ganj

NARAYANGANJ, May 4: A mobile court drive conducted by two Executive Magistrates of Narayanganj District Administration, Md Al-Amin and Md Mahmudul Hasan, seized 200 kg of banned polythene bags and fined two establishments Tk 12,000 for selling such bags at Haji Ahsan Ullah Super Market in Shimrail Mor of Siddhirganj of the city on Monday morning.

A press release signed by Deputy Director of District Department of Environment (DoE) AHM Rashed informed this on Monday afternoon. 

Inspector Titu Barua and Inspector Rima Akhter of the District DoE prosecuted the drive. Of the two establishments, Shaon Store was fined Tk 5,000 and Biogene Store was fined Tk 7,000.
