Illegal structures being demolished in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, May 5: Chandpur Roads and Highways Department (RHD) has started demolishing illegal establishments since Sunday last. 

Chandpur RHD Executive Engineer Yunus Ali is leading this eviction drive which will continue from Chandpur Town to Khajuria. All illegal establishments on both sides of the RHD road will be demolished. 

Meanwhile, there has been public anger over the failure to evict the Jin Market in front of Mubarak Market near Babur Haat. According to the local people, the Jin Market is on the RHD land. 

Executive Engineer Yunus Ali, while speaking to the media, said that the government will rehabilitate the affected people.
