Lightning kills Dakhil examinee at Sherpur

SHERPUR, BOGURA, June 11: A Dakhil examinee was killed in a lightning strike in Kanaikandar Schoolpara Village of Shahbandegi Union in Sherpur Upazila of the district on Tuesday morning. 

The deceased Sabbir Hossain, 17, was the son of Saiful Islam of the village. He participated in the Dakhil examination this year from Fultala Dakhil Madrasa.

According to local sources, when Sabbir went out from his house amid rain on Tuesday morning to bring ducks, lightning suddenly struck him, leaving him dead on the spot.
