Rajbari Scouts holds multipurpose workshop

RAJBARI, May 6: Bangladesh Scouts, Rajbari District Rover organised a day-long multipurpose workshop at the conference room of Rajbari Government Adarsha Women's College on Wednesday.

Rajbari Additional Deputy Commissioner Tarif Ul Hasan was present as the chief guest at the workshop while Rajbari Government Adarsha Women's College Principal Professor Dr Rizvi Jamal chaired the programme.

Among others, Rajbari Mukta Rover Scout President Professor Abdur Rashid Mia and Secretary Professor Mostafizur Rahman, Adarsha Government Women's College Vice-Principal Professor Abu Jihad Ansari, and Rajbari Government Women's College Teachers' Council Secretary Professor Masuduz Zaman were present, while Jamalpur College Professor Golam Mortuza moderated the session.

The chief guest said that there is a lot of qualitative difference between an ordinary student and a Rover. Just as a Scout becomes talented, patient, and efficient due to his training, he also keeps a touch of welfare for others in mind at every step of his life. In any disaster like storm, cyclone, epidemic, he is the first to move forward with a service mentality. 

Other speakers said that Scouts are the leaders of the welfare of humanity; they are always the first to go for this welfare. Therefore, the Scouts of the future must be digital Scouts in line with the Scouts of other countries of the world. 

In the workshop, 11 teachers and 18 students from 15 colleges in 5 upazilas of the district participated.
