Mother, son electrocuted in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, June 20: A mother and her son were electrocuted at the house of Munsur Member of Chhayani Tobga Village in Ward No. 9 of Chatkhil Municipality on Friday.

The deceased were Anjana Rani Ghosh, 35, wife of Khokon Chandra Ghosh, and her son Rahul, 8.

It is known that water was being irrigated from a pond owned by several people, including Dulal Chandra Ghosh, with a motor. At that time, Khokon Chandra Ghosh's son Rahul was electrocuted when he touched the power cable of the motor. His mother Anjana Rani Ghosh was also electrocuted while trying to rescue him. 

Officer-in-Charge of Chatkhil Police Station Abdul Monnaf said that legal action will be taken after talking to the deceased’s family members.
