
SINGRA, NATORE, June 20: Thirty-five fans were donated by the local Member of Parliament (MP) to the Singra Upazila Health Complex to improve patient comfort amid the ongoing summer heat.
The equipment was formally handed over on Saturday afternoon at a simple ceremony held on the hospital premises. The donation included 27 ceiling fans and 8 exhaust fans, which will be installed in different wards and service units of the hospital to improve ventilation and reduce heat-related discomfort.
The fans were delivered by Mohammad Milon Hossain Master, General Secretary (GS) of the Singra Diabetic Association, and received by Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Mujahidul Islam Khokan.
Local political and community leaders were present during the event, including former municipal councilor Rafiqul Islam, former president of the Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal Hiradul Islam, Vice-President Sharful Islam, and BNP leader Hanifuzzaman Promkh.
The donated fans will be installed soon after necessary technical assessment by hospital engineers, officials added.
