Milestone tragedy: Application filed seeking case against Yunus among 16

An application has been filed seeking a case against 16 individuals, including former chief adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus and former law adviser of the interim government Dr Asif Nazrul, over allegation due to negligence of plane crash at Milestone School and College in the capital's Uttara area.

Usaimong Marma, father of deceased student Ukya Chaing Marma, submitted the application before the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ariful Islam on Thursday.

AKM Sharif Uddin, counsel for the complainant, said the court recorded the complainant's statement and kept the order pending.

Former adviser to the interim government Rizwana Hasan and former press secretary Shafiqul Alam have been named in the application.
