Signal No. 1 hoisted for river ports in three divisions

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has advised river ports in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions to hoist warning signal No. 1 due to the possibility of rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds.

According to the Meteorological Warning Centre’s forecast issued on Sunday, the weather is expected to remain unsettled from 5:00am to 1:00pm, with south or southeasterly winds reaching speeds of 45 to 60 km/h in the affected areas.

The BMD urged river ports in the three divisions to display warning signal No. 1 (re) in view of the risk of adverse weather conditions.
