Prep meet for Eid-ul-Azha held in Rajbari

RAJBARI, May 18: On the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha celebration, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Rajbari has said that no cattle market will be allowed to be set up along the roads and railways. 
She said this at a preparatory meeting for Eid-ul-Azha at the DC office conference room on Monday noon organised by the district administration. The meeting, chaired by DC and District Magistrate Afroza Parveen, was attended by, Rajbari Civil Surgeon Dr SM Masud, BNP Joint Convener Gazi Ahsan Habib, Additional Superintendent of Police Md Shahidul Haque, Executive Magistrate Raihanul Islam, Press Club President Kazi Abdul Quddus, Imam of Model Mosque Abu Sayeed, and Municipal Administrator Rabiul Alam, among others.
The DC said that the main Eid congregation will be held at 7.30 am on the Rajbari Shaheed Khushi Railway Ground. The DC directed the Municipal Administrator to ensure slaughter of animals at the designated places and to remove sacrificial waste from each area as soon as possible on the Eid day.
Municipal Administrator Rabiul Alam said that adequate police force will be deployed by the district police and law enforcement agencies to take security measures on the roads and highways of the district.
It was decided to supply high-quality special food to the district jail, hospital, and Shishu Poribar. The SP was requested to enforce the law to prevent animal theft. It was decided to strengthen road safety from Godar Bazar to Horticulture.
