A Dhaka court on Monday set July 2 for the submission of the investigation report in the Bangladesh Bank reserve heist case, after the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) failed to file the report on the scheduled date.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam passed the order, marking the 95th time the investigation agency has sought more time in the case.

Hackers stole $81 million from Bangladesh Bank's account at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York through fraudulent SWIFT transactions on February 5, 2016. The money was later transferred to the Philippines. Investigators suspect the hackers were aided by a local network involved in laundering the funds.

The case was filed on March 15, 2016, by Bangladesh Bank Deputy Director Zobayer Bin Huda.
