Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Tuesday inaugurated the three-day 'Land Service Fair-2026' aimed at making land-related services easier and more accessible for people across the country.

The Prime Minister opened the fair by pressing a button at the Land Building at Tejgaon in Dhaka at 11:05AM.

The fair will continue until May 21.

The Prime Minister also unveiled the covers of three publications of the Ministry of Land.

Following the inauguration, the fair began simultaneously in all districts and upazilas across the country.

This year’s theme of the fair is: “People-friendly automated land management, secure land and a prosperous future.”

The main objective of the fair is to familiarise citizens with new digital land services and provide some services directly at the venue.

After the inauguration, the Prime Minister visited different stalls and service centres at the Land Building.

He also toured the call centre, citizen service centre and day-care centre there.

The fair has been organised to raise public awareness about simplified land services, digital platforms and citizen services, especially at the grassroots level.

Through the fair, visitors will be able to learn about various land-related services, including registration on the land portal, online e-mutation applications, payment of land development tax, collection of khatian and DCR documents, and obtaining mouza maps.

Some services will also be provided instantly at the fair venue, including receiving e-mutation applications, distributing certified copies of khatians and collecting land development tax payments.

The authorities are also promoting the national hotline 16122 and divisional hotline 01706888787 for land-related complaints during the fair.

A booklet titled “Bhumi Amar Thikana” is also being distributed to help people understand land services in simple language.
