Land Service Fair begins in districts, focusing on digitalisation

The three-day Land Service Fair-2026 began on Tuesday in several districts across the country, including Khulna, Narayanganj, Rajbari, Laxmipur, Patuakhali, Dinajpur, Bhola, Mymensingh, Rangamati, Moulvibazar, Naogaon, Pabna, Bogura and Natore, with emphasis on familiarising citizens with modern land services and ensuring direct public service delivery.

The fairs are being organised by district and upazila administrations under the theme "Citizen-friendly automated land management, secure land and prosperous future," aiming to expand digital land governance and improve access to services for citizens.

KHULNA: Compensation cheques worth about Tk 3 crore for land acquisition were distributed among 38 people at the inauguration ceremony of the three-day Land Service Fair held on the Khulna Collectorate premises on Tuesday.

Khulna Divisional Commissioner Md Abdullah Harun attended the programme as the chief guest and handed over the cheques.

Khulna Range DIG Md Rezaul Haque, Additional Police Commissioner Muhammad Shahnewaz Khaled, SP Mohammad Tajul Islam, Khulna City Unit BNP President Advocate SM Shafiqul Alam Mona and General Secretary (GS) Shafiqul Alam Tuhin, among others, attended the programme.

Khulna DC Hoore Jannat chaired the function, jointly organised by the Khulna Divisional and District Administrations. Earlier, a colourful procession was brought out from Shaheed Hadis Park in the city that paraded through different city roads before ending on the Collectorate premises.

LAXMIPUR: The fair was inaugurated here by releasing balloons on the Sadar Upazila Parishad premises on Tuesday afternoon.

A discussion meeting and rally were held earlier organised by the district administration and the Upazila Land Office. DC SM Mehedi Hasan was present as the chief guest.

UNO Kathwaipru Marma chaired the event, while SP Md Abu Tarek, Additional DC Md Anwar Hossain Patwari, Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abhi Das and others were present as special guests.

NARAYANGANJ: Organised by the Narayanganj District Administration, the fair was inaugurated on the Upazila Land Complex premises adjacent to Khanpur Hospital in Narayanganj City.

A colorful rally was held at 10:30 am on Tuesday to mark the fair. Narayanganj-3 Constituency MP Azaharul Islam Mannan, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Raihan Kabir, Additional Superintended of Police (Administration) Tasmin Akhter, Additional DC (Revenue) Naima Islam, Metropolitan BNP Member Secretary Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu, District BNP Joint Convener Masukul Islam Rajib, District Jubo Dal Member Secretary Mashiur Rahman Rony, Metropolitan Islami Andolan President Mufti Masum Billah and many others were present. Later, the invited guests inaugurated the fair by releasing balloons and pigeons and visiting various stalls.

RAJBARI: DC and District Magistrate Afroza Parveen was present as the chief guest at the event. Among others, Additional DC (Revenue) Asik Un Nabi Talukder and Additional DC Tarif Ul Hasan were present.

Sadar UNO Nirupama Roy chaired the discussion meeting organised jointly by Rajbari District and Sadar Upazila Land Administrations.

The three-day Land Service Fair was inaugurated in the conference room of Rajbari Sadar UNO. Before this, the DC led a colorful rally.

In addition, an informative booklet titled 'Bhoomi Amar Thikana' was distributed at the fair so that the general public gets the opportunity to know information about land services in simple language.

BAUPHAL, PATUAKHALI: A quiz competition was held on the occasion of the Land Service Fair on the Bauphal Upazila Land Office premises on Tuesday at 11 am.

Bauphal UNO Md Saleh Ahmed distributed prizes among the winners of the quiz competition.

AC (Land) Md Sohag Milu conducted the competition. Local land office officials, journalists, teachers and dignitaries were present at the fair. On the occasion of the fair, various land-related services will be provided at multiple stalls.

BIROL, DINAJPUR: The official inauguration of the fair was held here by releasing balloons and festoons and holding a colourful rally.

UNO Md Rezaul Islam, Upazila Engineer Md Anwar Hossain, and Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Md Arifur Rahman were present at the forefront of the rally. Later, the guests distributed prizes among the winning students who participated in the quiz competition and visited the information centre and service booth set up at the Upazila Land Office.

CHAR FASSON, BHOLA: Char Fasson UNO Ruman Afroz inaugurated the fair as the chief guest while AC (Land) Emadul Hossain chaired the ceremony.

In addition to stalls related to land management, the fair will also have stalls of the field offices of the Department of Land Records and Survey, Land Services Facilitating Centre (LSFC), and related institutions.

Upazila AC (Land) Emadul Hossain said, the fair will further accelerate automated land management in the upazila like the country and will increase people's confidence in modern, technology-based and harassment-free land services.

GOURIPUR, MYMENSINGH: UNO Afia Amin Pappa said that the government has taken groundbreaking steps to bring land services to the doorsteps of the people.

She said these while addressing the public awareness meeting organised on the occasion of the Land Service Fair at the Upazila Land Office on Tuesday afternoon. A procession was taken out on the occasion.

The meeting was moderated by AC (Land) Sunanda Sarkar Prama. Municipal BNP Convener Ali Akbar Anis, Acting Member Secretary Ramzan Hossain Khan Jewel, Press Club President Beg Faruk Ahmed, GS Rakibul Islam Rakib, Journalists Unity Forum President Shahjahan Kabir Hira, Gouripur Reporters Club President Raihan Uddin Sarkar, Amar Desh Correspondent Kamal Uddin, among others, delivered speeches. On this occasion, land services are being provided through four stalls.

KAPTAI, RANGAMATI: Organised by the Upazila Land Office, the fair was inaugurated by UNO and AC (Land) (Additional Duty) Md Raihanul Islam by cutting the ribbon as the chief guest on the land office premises.

Later, a discussion meeting was held there. Speaking as the chief guest, UNO Md Raihanul Islam said that the main objective of the land fair is to provide various land services to the people. 

Kaptai Press Club GS Jhulan Dutta moderated the event, and Upazila Parishad former chairman Dildar Hossain, District BNP Vice President Dr Rahmat Ullah, Jamaat-e-Islami Kaptai Upazila Ameer Harunor Rashid, former female vice chairman Nur Nahar Begum and Headman Arun Talukder delivered speeches. Kanungo of the Upazila Land Office Md Kajal Mia gave the welcome address. Later, a rally started from the Land Office premises and circled various roads of the upazila.

KULAURA, MOULVIBAZAR: Moulvibazar-2 (Kulaura) Constituency MP Md Shawkatul Islam inaugurated the fair by cutting the ribbon on the land office premises on Tuesday morning organised by the Upazila Land Office. 

AC (Land) Md Anisul Islam chaired the function, with UNO Sanjida Akhter, Police Station (PS) Inspector (Investigation) Habibur Rahman, Nabin Chandra Government Model High School Head Teacher Amir Hossain, Upazila BNP former convener Redwan Khan, GS Badruzzaman Sajal and Bhukshimail Union Chairman Azizur Rahman Monir were present as special guests. 

Before the inauguration, a colourful rally circled the land office area. At the end of the meeting, leaflets on e-services were distributed among the service recipients present. In addition, immediate land-related services were provided from various booths set up at the fair.

PORSHA, NAOGAON: On this occasion, a rally led by UNO Rakibul Islam paraded various roads of the town and ended on the Upazila Parishad premises. 

Later, a discussion meeting was attended by AC (Land) Mosammat Nabila Ferdous, Upazila Agriculture Officer Mamunur Rashid, PIO Mahmudul Haque Titu, Primary Education Officer Sajjad Hossain, Livestock Officer Dr Aziz Ali, Social Service Officer Shahidul Islam, Upazila BNP GS Sadequl Islam and Sub-Assistant Land Officer Farhad Hossain Shah. 

SANTHIA, PABNA: On this occasion, a colourful rally and public awareness meeting were held on Tuesday. The rally circled the main road of the Upazila Sadar. After the rally, UNO Riju Tamanna spoke as the chief guest at a discussion meeting in the Upazila Parishad hall room, chaired by AC (Land) Asif Raihan.

Present at the event were Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Santhia PS Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and former upazila chairman Mawlana Mokhlesur Rahman, Santhia Municipality BNP President Abdul Karim, Upazila Sramik Kalyan Federation President Mostafa Kamal Manik, Santhia Press Club Convener Mir Nazmul Bari Nahid, former presidents Manik Mia Rana and Joynul Abedin Rana, Vice-President Jalal Uddin, former GS Abul Kashem, Treasurer Abu Ishaq and journalist Monowar Parvez Manik.

SAPAHAR, NAOGAON: On this occasion, the inaugural ceremony of the fair was organised on the Sapahar Upazila Land Office premises.

AC (Land) Faridul Islam presided over it. UNO Romana Riaz was present as the chief guest. Agriculture Officer Moniruzzaman (Taqi), Rural Development Officer Alamgir Kabir, Primary Education Officer Wahidullah Pramanik, Upazila BNP GS Sarwar Jahan Labu Chowdhury, former president and former principal Abdul Noor and Organising Secretary Shafiqul Islam were present. The fair provides immediate land services, including informing citizens about various land services.

SHERPUR, BOGURA: UNO Md Saiduzzaman Himu inaugurated the fair by releasing balloons on the Upazila Land Office premises at 10 am.

A discussion meeting was held chaired by AC (Land) Md Mahmudul Hasan, while Upazila BNP President Shahidul Islam Bablu spoke at the event. Upazila BNP GS Rafiqul Islam Mintu and Municipal BNP President Swadhin Kumar Kundu were present at that time.

SINGRA, NATORE: The fair was organised by the Upazila Land Office. A colorful rally was held before this. 

UNO Abdullah Al Rifat inaugurated the fair by cutting the ribbon at the Upazila Land Office. AC (Land) Nishat Anjum chaired the meeting. Among others, Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Shahadat Hossain, Social Service Officer Abu Daud, Upazila PIO Mithun Kundu, Assistant Professor of Kalam Degree College Harun-or-Rashid, President of Singra Upazila Press Club Saiful Islam, Upazila Corruption Prevention Committee Member Abu Bakkar Siddique were present.
