Tricolour rickshaws launched in Dhaka 

US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen on Wednesday launched 50 red, white, and blue rickshaws to honour American independence marking America's 250th anniversary and highlighted the strong US-Bangladesh partnership. 

The US Embassy in Dhaka shared photos on its official Facebook page showing the Ambassador riding one of the rickshaws in the capital. 

On July 4, 2026, America will celebrate 250 years of independence.
 
"With a single sheet of parchment and 56 signatures, America began the greatest political journey in human history," said President Donald Trump of this momentous anniversary.
