Banks, insurance firms and stock markets open today

All banks, insurance firms will open today (Monday), after a seven-day holiday on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. Normal banking activities will continue from today. Trading hours will also be normal.

Trading in the country's stock market will also start from today, according to Bangladesh Bank sources.

As on regular working days, customers can carry out banking transactions from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, while banks will remain open until 5:00 pm for official operations.

All government and private banks remained closed from May 25 to May 31 in observance of the Eid-ul-Azha holidays.

As a result, the scheduled banks of the country are closed for seven consecutive days on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated on May 28. On this occasion, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a seven-day holiday notification. In continuation of this, banks were also declared closed at the same time.
 
According to the notification, government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous and private offices were closed from May 25 to 31. At the same time, the weekly holiday on Saturday, May 23, was also canceled. In line with this decision, Bangladesh Bank also issued holiday instructions for other financial institutions, including public and private banks.
