The Society for Critical Legal Studies (SCLS) is going to organize the 4th 'Professor Dr. Khabeer Uddin Ahmed National Moot Court Competition 2026.' The competition will be held on June 5 and 6 at the Faculty of Law, University of Chittagong.
The theme of this year's competition is ''International Humanitarian Law (IHL).''
For this two-day national competition, 63 teams from 42 well-known universities in Bangladesh, including the University of Dhaka, University of Chattogram, University of Rajshahi, North South University, BRAC University and International Islamic University Chattogram, submitted written memorials. After evaluation, 16 teams have been selected to take part in the oral rounds. The competition will be conducted in four stages: Preliminary Round, Quarter Final, Semi-Final, and Final.
The chief guest of this national competition will be hoHon’ble Justice Syed Mohammad Tajrul Hossain of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
Hon’ble Justice Rezaul Karim of the High Court Division will attend as the Guest of Honour.
Distinguished guests include Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Forkan, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chittagong; the two Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellors of the University of Chittagong; the Additional Attorney General for Bangladesh; and the Director (Administration) of the Judicial Administration Training Institute, along with other eminent jurists and academicians.
Special guests include Professor Dr. Md Zafar Ullah Talukder, Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Chittagong; Barrister Belayet Hossain, Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh; Barrister Shah Mohammad Ejaz Rahman, Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and President of the Chittagong University LL.M. Association; and A.B.M. Imdadul Haque Khan, Advocate of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Eastern University.
