Brother, sister die within hours 

SREEPUR, GAZIPUR, June 8: Hearing her brother, former four-time elected mayor of Sreepur Municipality Anisur Rahman in life support at a hospital in Dhaka, sister Rashida Akhter died on Sunday afternoon. It was reported that Anisur Rahman also died later.

Anisur Rahman and Rashida Akhter were the children of Haji Habibur Rahman of Madhakhala Village in Sreepur Municipality.

According to family sources, Anisur Rahman was also the former organising secretary of Gazipur District Awami League. After the July Movement, he was removed from the post of mayor. Since then, he had been seriously ill several times.
