Strong winds forcast in 7 coastal regions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast gusty to squally winds accompanied by rain or thundershowers across seven coastal and adjoining regions of the country.

In a warning issued for inland river ports from 9:00AM to 6:00PM on Friday, the authorities have advised that river ports in the affected areas display Signal No. 1.

Assistant Meteorologist Kazi Zebunnesa said that the regions of Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram, and Cox’s Bazar may experience temporary gusty or squally winds of 45 to 60 kilometres per hour from the west or northwesterly direction, along with rain or thunder showers.
