Bangladesh secured a memorable 2-1 ODI series victory over Australia despite losing the third and final match by one wicket in a thrilling finish at Mirpur on Sunday.

Towhid Hridoy scored 83, while Litton Das and Mosaddek Hossain struck unbeaten fifties to help Bangladesh post 274-5 after opting to bat first.

Australia’s chase was powered by a superb 149 from Cooper Connolly, who kept the visitors on course despite regular wickets. Bangladesh fought back through Shoriful Islam, whose career-best 6-48 pushed the match into the final over.
Connolly fell with Australia needing four runs, but Adam Zampa and Riley Meredith guided the tourists to 277-9 with three balls remaining.

Connolly was named Player of the Match, while Mosaddek Hossain earned the Player of the Series award as Bangladesh celebrated a historic ODI series triumph over Australia.
