PABNA, June 27: Different programmes including public awareness rally, leaflet distribution and cleanliness drive to prevent dengue, organised by the district administration in collaboration with the Pabna Municipality, were held in Ward No. 11 of the municipality on Saturday morning.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Municipality Administrator Khairul Islam, General Secretary of the Pabna Press Club Zahurul Islam, Pabna Municipality former panel chairman Faridul Islam Dalu, Municipality Executive Engineer Shahinuzzaman, Municipality Executive Officer Mohammad Dulal Uddin, and many others were present at that time.
The participants in the programme said that government initiatives alone are not enough to prevent dengue; public awareness needs to be increased, and every family needs to keep their homes and the surrounding environment clean. They urged everyone to avoid letting water stagnate for more than three days.
