Two persons were found dead in two districts- Bogura and Noakhali, on Monday.

BOGURA: Police recovered the body of a driver of CNG-powered auto-rickshaw from beside the Kai-Khali Beel in Doripara Village of Sariakandi Upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased Abdul Mannan, 45, was the son of Geda Munna of Maliandanga Village in Gabtoli Upazila of Bogura.

It is known that Mannan left his home in an auto-rickshaw on Sunday morning and went missing since then. As he did not return home, his family members and colleagues searched at various places. At one stage, family members found the body at around 11 am on Monday.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sariakandi Police Station (PS) AFM Asaduzzaman said that efforts are underway to identify and arrest those involved in the incident. The body has been sent to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

NOAKHALI: Police recovered the hanging body of a septuagenarian man from his residence in Begumganj Upazila of the district on Monday.

Deceased Abul Maleq Mabud, 75, was a resident of Munshi Bari inward No. 8 Kalikapur Village under Gopalpur Union in the upazila.

It was known that Abul Maleq had been living in the house alone. Locals found his body hanging from the ceiling of a room in the morning and informed the police.

Being informed, police recovered the body at noon and sent it to Noakhali 250-bed General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Police assumed that he might have committed suicide.

Begumganj PS OC Md Shamsuzzaman confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason behind his death would be known after getting the autopsy report.
