All fuel depots under the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) will remain closed on Wednesday (June 1) as part of the annual closing stock count, asset valuation and physical verification process.

The BPC instructed all companies and depot authorities under its jurisdiction to suspend marketing operations including the Chattogram main installation to facilitate the annual inventory verification.

The directive was issued following a memorandum from BPC's Audit Division.

The supply of Jet A-1 aviation fuel to domestic and international airlines will continue uninterrupted. The annual verification of Jet A-1 storage tanks at the relevant depots will be completed as quickly as possible to ensure continuous fuel supply.
