NEW DELHI, JULY 1: The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), the cultural arm of the Ministry of External Affairs, will host a delegation of Hindi scholars comprising students and faculty members from the Institute of Modern Language, University of Dhaka, for a nine-day visit from July 2 to July 10.
The objective of the programme is to bridge borders through language.
According to the MEA, the tour organized as part of the ICCR's Students Visitors Programme 2026-27, is a joint initiative of the ICCR and the High Commission of India in Dhaka.
The delegation will engage in academic and literary interactions at some of India's leading institutions. These include proposed meetings with Dr Varun Gulati, Secretary of the Sahitya Akademi, Professor Sudhir Pratap Singh, Head of the Centre for Indian Languages, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Professor Sudha Singh, Head of the Department of Hindi, Delhi University, Professor Vashistha Dwivedi, Head of the Department of Hindi, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Professor Hari Shankar, Director of the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra and interaction with international students studying Hindi at the institute.
