Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has urged expatriate workers, including Bangladeshis, to obtain or renew their work permits (Rukhsa Amal) within the stipulated timeframe.

The ministry warned that legal action would be taken against those who fail to comply before the deadline, according to the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh.

According to a notice shared by the embassy, workers whose permits expired more than 12 months ago, as well as those who entered Saudi Arabia or changed employers but have not obtained work permits within six months, must complete the process by the end of 2026.

The Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh also urged Bangladeshi expatriates to complete the required procedures within the deadline.
The ministry said the measure aims to ensure compliance with labour laws and protect the rights of both employers and workers.
