The results of the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination are expected to be published on July 9, with the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) saying the final preparation is now in its last stage.

The tentative date was fixed at a meeting held at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education on Wednesday, where Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon directed officials to publish the results as early as possible.

Following the meeting, the Directorate proposed July 9 as the probable date for the publication of the results, provided all remaining technical procedures are completed on schedule.

Confirming the matter on Thursday, DPE Education Officer (General Administration) Md Abdur Razzak Siddique said the Information Management Division (IMD) is currently finalising the results.

He said if the preparation work is completed within the stipulated time, the results will be officially announced at a press conference in the presence of the Minister the following day.

The results have been delayed several times despite earlier indications that they would be published in May, before Eid, after Eid and later within June.

The scholarship examination began on April 15 with the Bangla test and concluded on April 18 with Bangladesh and Global Studies and Primary Science examinations.

The examination was held nearly four months later than the scheduled timeframe.

More than 640,000 students took part in this year's examination, including around 550,000 from government primary schools and nearly 90,000 from non-government primary schools, including kindergartens.

According to the Directorate of Primary Education, a total of 82,500 students will receive scholarships this year. Of them, 66,000 scholarships have been allocated for students of government primary schools, while 16,500 have been earmarked for students of non-government institutions.

Scholarships will be awarded under two categories, 33,000 students will receive talent pool scholarships, while 49,500 students will receive general scholarships.

Under the existing policy, talent pool scholarship recipients will receive Tk 300 per month, while general scholarship recipients will receive Tk 225 per month.

In addition, students in both categories will receive a one-time annual grant of Tk 225. The financial assistance will continue for two years after completion of primary education.

After the results are published, students and guardians will be able to check them online through the IPEMIS portal as well as via SMS. The SMS procedure will be announced separately, officials said.
